Eddy
Dyer
<eddy(AT)thatpromising.com
/ www.eddydyer.org>
Some people say the days of the protest song are over. Although
the marriage of folk music and activism has weakened considerably
since the sixties, the tradition is alive and fighting in
Lowell, MA songsmith Eddy Dyer. Though young, Eddy
has been playing music a long time. Ask anyone in the Lowell
music scene about Eddy and they'll be sure to have a story
or two to tell - whether about his punk rock days or about
Eddy as a young juvenile delinquent pulling various pranks
around milltown Lowell. As he grew a bit older, Eddy traded
his amp for an acoustic guitar and mandolin, and traded his
prankster days for a job as a nurse in Mission Hill and a
dedication to political activism that was rare in the cynical
nineties. Eddy has two solo album available and is hard at
work on a third.

Tomato
Justice
<tomatojustice(AT)thatpromising.com>
Before they broke up in the mid-nineties, Greenwood, IN pop-punk
trio Tomato Justice played tight catchy songs about
high school heartbreak, skating, and the stupidity of Midwest
kids wearing surf clothes. Throw in a couple of rowdy eighties
covers given a Bad Religion-style
makeover, and you end up with happy angry punk rock that makes
you grin. Tomato Justice was bassist/singer Matt Butchko,
guitarist Tom Vincent, and drummer Joe Ziegelbauer, who is
now a punk rock electrical chemist in Boston, where he playeduntil
recentlyfor local punk band the High Steppin' Nickel
Kids.
